Anouk

Husky · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Anouk—a young Husky-mix female—along with her two sisters, was surrendered to our animal shelter in Hungary because their owners could no longer find space for the young dogs and didn't want to keep them. Anouk is a friendly and cheerful young dog. At our shelter, she’s learning basic leash walking and getting to experience various things, such as car rides, veterinary check-ups, and training sessions in the nearby town. Since many different people visit our farm, the young dogs are getting to know both women and men, which further contributes to their socialization. They also have regular contact with various adult dogs. On our farm, the three girls love playing in the water. We’re looking for people who have the time to accompany this young dog on her journey through life and continue working on her training and development. Anouk needs owners who enjoy spending time outdoors in nature and are eager to provide her with appropriate physical and mental stimulation and enrichment. Anouk will be able to travel to Switzerland at the beginning of September. We prefer direct adoption upon arrival in Switzerland, but picking her up yourself in Hungary is also possible. We’d be delighted to provide you with more detailed information! Since she’s still too young for spaying when she’s given up, she’ll be placed under a mandatory spay/neuter agreement.

About Anouk

What life with Anouk looks like

Anouk is a medium-sized puppy/kitten husky dog waiting at Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs in Yourheart4dogs.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anouk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anouk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anouk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anouk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Anouk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anouk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anouk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
