Adopt Arale

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

Arale – on the lookout for a safe haven Arale is a young mixed-breed female dog, born on January 2, 2024, about 45 cm tall. But what speaks much more than numbers and facts about her is her story, which provokes reflection. When Arale was found, she lay motionless by the roadside. The situation was alarming, and it was quickly assumed she had been paralyzed in an accident. The initial information we received also spoke of a wounded dog who could no longer move. However, the examination at the animal clinic revealed something astonishing: Arale was physically completely healthy. After a few days in the clinic, she began to relax – and suddenly, she started moving again. Today, she runs, jumps, and plays just like any other normal dog. Whatever happened to her must have been so traumatic that she physically “froze.” This experience has left deep scars, but Arale fights her way back to life with great courage. Arale is cautious when it comes to people. She needs time and patience to build trust – and who could blame her? In the company of another, confident dog, however, she truly blossoms. A canine companion gives her security and support. With a four-legged friend by her side, she dares to approach people more closely, takes treats out of their hand with caution, and shows how much hope and curiosity are within her.

About Arale

What life with Arale looks like

Arale is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arale, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arale?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arale on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arale if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arale already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arale isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arale and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
