How do I contact the shelter about Bąbel?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bąbel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Bąbel if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Bąbel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Bąbel isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bąbel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Bąbel

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Here's Bąbel - a 4-year-old black and tan medium-sized dog boy. Bąbel is a charming, active little dog, although he wasn't always like that. Like many other dogs, he came to us scared and a bit withdrawn. Fortunately, a gentle approach made him open up quickly and now he loves going for walks, running, discovering new smells and... really enjoys human company. Although he can still be a bit wary of unfamiliar people at times, he's generally a very friendly dog. We haven't noticed any aggressive behavior towards other dogs, but as always, we encourage taking your current pet on a meet-and-greet walk if you already have a dog and would like to give Bąbel a home. Bąbel is a fantastic dog who will bring a lot of joy and love to his new family. We invite you to visit our shelter and meet him in person! Bąbel is registered under number 13281/3/26. He has been vaccinated against rabies and infectious diseases and is microchipped. He has undergone a neutering procedure. For those interested in adoption, please contact us by phone at 530-779-523 or 534-185-616.

Zapraszamy do odwiedzenia naszego schroniska i poznania go osobiście! Bąbel zarejestrowany jest pod numerem 13281/3/26. Został zaszczepiony przeciwko wściekliźnie i chorobom zakaźnym oraz zaczipowany. Przeszedł zabieg kastracji. About Bąbel

What life with Bąbel looks like

Bąbel is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.
