Bailey

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Bailey is a cheerful and energetic Mini Shepherd who is always up for something. He is always "on" and enjoys being busy. Playing, fetching a ball or going on an adventure together: Bailey does it all with enthusiasm. Despite his energetic character, Bailey is also a huge cuddler. He enjoys attention immensely and loves coming to you for a hug. His enthusiasm can sometimes cause him to jump up at people. His new owner will therefore need to be clear and consistent about this. Bailey is house trained and can be left alone at home. This makes him a great dog in this regard. He also gets along well with other dogs and can also get along well with cats. Bailey has previously followed a puppy and young dog course. He knows the basics, but his obedience is currently average. A owner who wants to train with him or give him enough exercise/challenge is a plus. Bailey finds driving a bit exciting, but that doesn't stop him: he just jumps into the car. With some positive guidance, he may be able to gain more confidence in this. An important point to note is that Bailey is not suitable for a household with young children. Due to his energetic and enthusiastic character, he can become too unruly towards young children and sometimes has a tendency to snap/bite in these situations. A home with older, quiet children who know how to handle a dog might be a good fit. We are looking for a owner for Bailey who loves an active dog, enjoys playing and/or training with him and can also enjoy his enormous cuddle factor. Someone who can set clear boundaries and guide Bailey in a positive way is a good match for him. ✓ Cheerful and energetic Mini Shepherd ✓ A huge cuddler ✓ Always "on" and enjoys being busy ✓ House trained ✓ Can be left alone at home ✓ Gets along well with other dogs ✓ Gets along well with cats ⚠️ Not suitable for young children ⚠️ Needs clear guidance and boundaries Are you looking for an active, playful dog who likes to go on adventures with you, but is just as happy to cuddle up at home? And are you up for training with Bailey and giving him the right guidance? Then this enthusiastic cuddle may be your perfect match! ❤️🐾 Vroenhoutseweg 37 4703 SH Roosendaal Tel.

❤️🐾 Vroenhoutseweg 37 4703 SH Roosendaal Tel.

About Bailey

What life with Bailey looks like

Bailey is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Het Dierenhuis in Netherlands.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bailey, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bailey?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Het Dierenhuis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bailey on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bailey if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Het Dierenhuis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bailey already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bailey isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Het Dierenhuis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bailey and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
