Some weeks ago, our rescuer Timea discovered a litter of pups on an abandoned yard. Five small puppies were huddled close together while their mother stayed nearby to protect them. She quickly brought the pups to safety, but their mother would not let anyone near her. Eventually, Timea managed to catch her and take her to a safe environment. There, she could finally relax and recover from the stress she had built up over the years. She was given the name Baya, named after the place where she was found: an abandoned 'BAckYArd'. This name refers not only to her finding location, but also marks the beginning of a new phase in her life. Baya is a kind and gentle dog around six or seven years old. Despite her past, she is now showing more and more of her friendly character. She has a calm nature, is affectionate towards people and visibly enjoys attention when she receives it at her own pace. Moreover, she gets along well with other dogs. It is touching to see how a dog who has cared for her pups for so long can now finally experience what it feels like to be wanted. Baya deserves nothing less than a warm, stable and loving home, where she can discover that life does not have to revolve around survival, but rather around peace and affection. Finally, Baya is vaccinated and spayed. She is therefore completely ready to start her new life: a life full of freedom, warmth and cuddles. Who will give this lovely dog her golden bed? Enkele weken geleden ontdekte onze rescuer Timea op een verlaten erf een nestje pups. Vijf kleine hondjes zaten dicht tegen elkaar aan, terwijl hun moeder in de buurt bleef om hen te beschermen. De pups bracht ze snel in veiligheid, maar hun moeder liet niemand in haar buurt komen. Uiteindelijk wist Timea haar te vangen en mee te nemen naar een veilige omgeving. Daar kon ze voor het eerst in lange tijd ontspannen en bijkomen van de stress die ze jarenlang had opgebouwd. Ze kreeg de naam Baya, vernoemd naar de plek waar ze werd gevonden: een verlaten ‘BAckYArd'. Deze naam verwijst niet alleen naar haar vindplaats, maar markeert tegelijkertijd het begin van een nieuwe fase in haar leven. Baya is een lieve en zachte hond van ongeveer zes à zeven jaar oud. Ondanks haar verleden laat ze nu steeds meer van haar vriendelijke karakter zien. Ze heeft een rustige aard, is lief naar mensen en geniet zichtbaar van aandacht wanneer ze die in haar eigen tempo mag ontvangen. Bovendien gaat ze goed om met andere honden. Het is ontroerend om te zien hoe een hond die zo lang voor haar pups heeft gezorgd, nu eindelijk zelf mag ervaren hoe het voelt om gewenst te zijn. Baya verdient niets minder dan een warm, stabiel en liefdevol thuis, waar ze kan ontdekken dat het leven niet alleen hoeft te draaien om overleven, maar juist om rust en genegenheid. Tenslotte is Baya gevaccineerd en gesteriliseerd. Ze is dus helemaal klaar om aan haar nieuwe leven te beginnen: een leven vol vrijheid, warmte en knuffels.
