Benji had bad luck: His owner passed away. The remaining caregiver tried to continue taking care of him, but had to travel frequently for work. As a result, Benji spent most of his time in a kennel. When permanent care was no longer possible, Melampo was asked for help. Volunteers describe Benji as a "treasure", an all-around lovable dog. He has everything you could wish for from a Labrador: he meets people openly and friendly and greets everyone at first acquaintance as if he were an old friend. Benji is calm, composed and balanced. His special gentleness and friendly nature make him a pleasant companion. Benji also shows himself to be very social with other dogs. He lives problem-free with males and females together and moves safely and relaxed even in larger dog groups. Benji is also compatible with cats. He walks well on the leash, orients himself at his human and reliably implements instructions. He masters car trips calmly and relaxed. At the vet he was tested negative for Mediterranean diseases. We wish Benji a home with people who appreciate his loving nature and accompany him lovingly and patiently in the introduction phase. The new owners should be aware of Benji's size. Benji hatte großes Pech: Sein Besitzer ist verstorben. Die zurückgebliebene Bezugsperson versuchte, sich weiterhin um ihn zu kümmern, musste jedoch beruflich häufig verreisen. Dadurch verbrachte Benji die meiste Zeit in einer Hundepension. Als eine dauerhafte Betreuung nicht mehr möglich war, wurde Melampo um Hilfe gebeten. Die freiwilligen Helfer beschreiben Benji als einen „Schatz“, einen rundum liebenswerten Hund. Er bringt alles mit, was man sich von einem Labrador wünscht: Er begegnet Menschen offen und freundlich und begrüsst jeden schon beim ersten Kennenlernen, als wäre er ein alter Freund. Benji ist ruhig, gelassen und ausgeglichen. Seine besondere Sanftheit und sein freundliches Wesen machen ihn zu einem angenehmen Begleiter. Auch mit anderen Hunden zeigt sich Benji ausgesprochen sozial. Er lebt problemlos mit Rüden und Hündinnen zusammen und bewegt sich auch in grösseren Hundegruppen sicher und entspannt. Benji ist zudem mit Katzen verträglich. Er läuft gut an der Leine, orientiert sich an seinem Menschen und setzt Anweisungen zuverlässig um. Autofahrten meistert er ruhig und gelassen. Beim Tierarzt wurde er negativ auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten getestet. Wir wünschen uns für Benji ein Zuhause bei Menschen, die sein liebevolles Wesen zu schätzen wissen und ihn bei der Eingewöhnung liebevoll und mit Geduld begleiten. Die neuen Besitzer sollten sich Benjis Grösse bewusst sein. Er wird seinen neuen Besitzern sicher viel Freude bereiten Alles Gute Benji!
