Benson came to the attention of Timea through a message on social media. Someone had seen two dogs by the roadside. Both were very friendly, the larger one was following the cars, while the smaller one seemed injured. The person who wrote the message fed the dogs but could not do anything else for them. After a week, no one had responded, so Timea went there and took the two dogs to her shelter. Benson, the smaller, black and white dog, is friendly, a little reserved, but very attached once he gets to know someone. He is very kind and gentle with the other dogs in the shelter. Benson could be a lovely family dog. Benson was injured, perhaps hit by a car, when he came to Timea, but this has healed and he has no lasting effects. He has now received all vaccinations and is able to travel. Of course, we hope that a kind adopter will soon come who will accompany Benson throughout his life. Benson kwam onder de aandacht van rescuer Timea dankzij een bericht op sociale media. Iemand had langs de weg twee honden gezien. Beide honden waren erg vriendelijk. De grootste hond liep achter auto's aan, terwijl de kleinere hond gewond leek te zijn. Hoewel de persoon de honden eten gaf, kon zij verder niets voor hen doen. Toen er na een week nog steeds niemand had gereageerd, besloot Timea de honden zelf op te halen en mee te nemen naar haar shelter. Benson is een zwart-witte hond. Hij is vriendelijk en in het begin een beetje terughoudend, maar zodra hij iemand leert kennen, laat hij zien hoe aanhankelijk hij is. Daarnaast gaat hij heel lief en rustig om met de andere honden in de shelter. Door zijn zachte karakter zou Benson een fijne gezinshond kunnen zijn. Toen Benson bij Timea kwam, was hij gewond. Mogelijk was hij aangereden. Gelukkig is hij volledig hersteld en heeft hij hier niets aan overgehouden. Inmiddels is hij weer helemaal gezond en klaar voor een nieuwe start. Update april 2026 : In april 2026 hebben onze vrijwilligers Benson persoonlijk ontmoet tijdens hun bezoek aan de opvang in Roemenië. Benson kwam graag uit zijn kennel om mee te gaan wandelen. Tijdens de wandeling liet hij zijn rustige en vriendelijke karakter zien. Hij was nieuwsgierig naar de andere honden die hij onderweg tegenkwam en liep netjes mee aan de lijn. Onze vrijwilligers leerden hem kennen als een lieve, rustige hond die klaar is voor een eigen thuis. Nu ontbreekt alleen nog een liefdevol gezin dat hem de aandacht, veiligheid en geborgenheid wil geven die hij zo verdient na zijn moeilijke begin. Kun jij Benson het warme thuis geven waar hij zo naar verlangt en hem laten ervaren hoe het is om voor altijd geliefd te zijn?
