Beth

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 2 months

Hi everyone! My name is Beth and I'm so pleased to meet you! I came to the centre when I was just 4 days old with my 3 siblings and was hand reared by my people here. This means that I am extra fun and friendly and have already experienced life in a home! I grew up with 3 dogs and definitely think I could live with a canine pal again if you've got a nice one. Now that I live in the cattery, I have shown how sociable I am with all the other cats here so can also live with feline friends too!I am one of the sweeter kittens in my litter and am quite an independent lady when exploring new things. I really do enjoy playing with my siblings and another kitten that has recently joined in on playtimes, and will always win a playfight with my brother! I especially love a cardboard box to use as a hideout, so I can sneak attack my siblings!! I am always up for a cuddle, especially at nap time where I like to snuggle with my person. I'm a typical kitten in most ways so I'm all about exploring and being cheeky at every opportunity. At just over 9 weeks old, I am ready and raring to get my paws into my forever home, so if you think I could be the girl for you, please send your application to my people here at NAWT. Sponsor me and my friends to ensure I am safe and warm until I find a family to call my own.

About Beth

What life with Beth looks like

Beth is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Beth, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Beth?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. National Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Beth on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Beth if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — National Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Beth already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Beth isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with National Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Beth and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
