Blizz

Husky · Unknown · Adult · 5 years

Meet Blizz, a beautiful 4.5-year-old husky. Due to sad personal circumstances, her previous owner could no longer care for her, so it was decided with love to find Blizz a new home where she can receive the attention, exercise, and love she deserves. Blizz is a true husky, with everything that comes with it. She is lovely vocal and lets you know she's around. If you're looking for a quiet dog, Blizz might not be the right match. But if you love the friendly "talking" of a husky, you'll surely laugh at her. Blizz is a social and friendly lady. She gets along well with people and other dogs. She grew up with children and would therefore also live well in a family. In addition, she could possibly be placed together with another dog after a good introduction. At 4.5 years old, Blizz is in the prime of her life. She still has plenty of energy and is looking for a master who likes to go on adventures with her. Long walks, exploring nature together, or other fun activities: Blizz loves that. Are you looking for a loyal, cheerful, and characterful housemate and can you give Blizz a loving home? Then we hope you are the one who can give her a new chapter full of beautiful memories. Want to meet Blizz? Indicate this via the form. We will then contact you to make an appointment. Without an appointment, an introduction is not possible. A dog is not chosen lightly, so we have a strict selection for our shelter dogs. During an initial introduction, a dog is not placed. You do not have access to the dog kennels because this is stressful for our dogs, and the kennels are their resting place. Furthermore, we want to meet the whole family, including any dogs that are already in the family. You can take all the time you need at the shelter to get to know each other, go for a walk, and ask questions to the foster family. After a positive first introduction, a second appointment will follow and further appointments will be made.

About Blizz

What life with Blizz looks like

Blizz is a adult husky dog waiting at Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant in Netherlands.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blizz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blizz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blizz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blizz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Blizz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Blizz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blizz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
