Bobbie and Phyllis

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 9 months

Age?9 monthsModel?Black sistersPersonality?Slow starters but adorable once mojo kicks in.Suitability?Suited to a quieter home.Other cats?Possibly if introduced properly.Indoor cat?No busy roads or other hazards within 100m, please. Children?Seven years and older provided they are sensible and understanding. How about dogs?Depends very much on the breed and previous exposureIn care12 days Abandoned in a cardboard box near a railway line, we’ve temporarily named this young pair of sisters after the girls in the film “The Railway Children.” A kind member of the public took them to the local vets and, from there, the came to us for homing. A little quiet for the first few days with us whilst they relearnt to trust humans, they both now rush out to meet our volunteers and love the attention. Checked over by our vets in Bollington and now neutered they seem healthy, well balanced kittens despite their adventure and seem to have been well looked after. At this stage we can’t tell who is who so Bobbie has the blue collar and Phyllis the greenThey’ve reliably used their tray from the get go and are not super greedy. We would consider them an easy pair of companions to look after and seem to get on well so hopefully can find a new home together. We do have a really lovely, black and white kitten of a similar age if you are looking for a single companion (the Anzio’s.) As with all our cats, this pair have been vaccinated, wormed, flead, microchipped, and neutered before homing. To help offset these costs we respectfully ask for a minimum donation of £125 each towards the cost of veterinary treatment. All Silk Cats come with four weeks of complimentary PetPlan insurance – we recommend you consider arranging your own insurance at the end of the four weeks – there is a guide here: About Insurance READY for homing – if you’d like to adopt, please read the information here: ‘Our Homing Process’ and then complete a matchmaker/registration form email:

About Bobbie and Phyllis

What life with Bobbie and Phyllis looks like

Bobbie and Phyllis is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Silk Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobbie and Phyllis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobbie and Phyllis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Silk Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobbie and Phyllis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobbie and Phyllis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Silk Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobbie and Phyllis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobbie and Phyllis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Silk Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobbie and Phyllis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
