Böbe

German Shepherd · Female · Adult · 8 years

Böbe – friendly and active female German Shepherd The German female German Shepherd Böbe is, at eight years old, still very fit and active. She is exceptionally friendly towards people and also gets along well with her fellow animals. The pretty and affectionate female dog hasn't had the chance to experience much in her life yet. Walking on a leash is already going quite well, but of course, this can still be practiced further. A blood test was conducted on Böbe, and the results are good. Due to a shepherd-type skin condition (perianal fistulas), which has been treated, she is still dependent on special dry food. She enjoys this food and tolerates it well. We are looking for people with big hearts who can offer Böbe a loving and suitable home; plenty of walks, perhaps a nice excursion, and of course, lots of cuddles. A garden would also be very nice for Böbe, as she loves to run and sniff around. Who will fall in love with this pretty and very friendly female dog? Böbe can leave by the end of June. Preferably, direct adoption upon arrival in Switzerland or collection in Hungary is preferred. We are happy to provide more information!

About Böbe

What life with Böbe looks like

Böbe is a medium-sized adult german shepherd dog waiting at Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs in Yourheart4dogs.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Böbe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Böbe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Böbe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Böbe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Böbe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Böbe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Böbe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
