adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process A fierce heartbeats is programmed when you look into the dreamy eyes of our 2-year-old male dog, Bolly. Bolly was rescued from the public shelter in Zalau and now wants to finally leave behind the prickly past and begin a beautiful dog life. The gloomy existence in the cramped kennel clearly weighs heavily on Bolly. He suffers from the confinement and becomes infinitely sad when no one pays attention to him. Our local helpers report that Bolly loves being in company and interacting with people. Enthusiastically and eagerly, Bolly shows himself to be a true model student who would like to learn something new every day. That is why we wish so much for our prince charming to quickly emerge from the cramped and noisy environment, which is pure poison for his need for movement, affection, and mental activity. Bolly, at 53 cm in height and weighing 24 kilograms, is a true prince, not suitable for a small apartment. We can only speculate about which genes are combined in him – many possibilities here. He may have some Collie in him. Bolly should definitely be mentally stimulated. Agility units would be ideal, as they would further develop and captivate our model student. Extensive walks through nature would also benefit our Bolly immensely. But cuddling and playing would also be high on Bolly’s wish list. His white-flecked fur with caramel patches immediately invites cuddling. Bolly gets along well with other dogs – an experienced first dog would be an ideal sparring partner when it comes to learning the dog 1×1. Here, Bolly still needs to work on important lessons, which he will surely master with flair. Has our prince charming put your heart in a rhythm? With his young two years, Bolly has many years to spend them together with you in nature and on the couch. His majestic luggage is packed. Bolly brings his EU pet passport, is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and can be fostered. Bolly would initially be very happy with a foster home. Thank you, Ker W., for giving Bolly this wonderful name and thus an identity and the chance at a beautiful dog life. As of: 17.05.

Stand: 17.05.2025

About Bolly

What life with Bolly looks like

Bolly is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bolly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bolly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bolly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bolly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bolly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bolly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bolly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
