Bolo

Mixed Breed · Unknown

BOLO. Bolo is approximately 7 years old, black with tan markings, a medium-sized dog. Bolo has a fluffy coat. He is curious and active. He enjoys walks and walks nicely on a leash, although he can gently pull if something catches his attention. He is gentle and friendly towards people, enjoys pets and spending time together. He does not show aggression towards other dogs, so he should get along well with a resident dog. Of course, if someone already has a dog and would like to give Bolo a home, we encourage them to take their current pet on a meeting walk, because everything depends on both dogs. During his health check, it was found that Bolo has heart problems. He is prescribed medication by a cardiologist and feels fine for now, but we cannot predict what the future will bring. Bolo is a medium-sized dog in middle age, who should not be in a shelter. He should have his own warm corner in a real home and people exclusively. People who will take care of him and shower him with love. We invite you to visit our shelter and meet Bolo in person! Bolo is registered under number 13273/239/25. He has been vaccinated against rabies and infectious diseases and has been microchipped. He is waiting for a neutering procedure. For those interested in adoption, please contact us by phone 530-779-523 or 534-185-616

BOLO. Bolo to ok 7-letni, czarny podpalany pies średniej wielkości. Bolo ma puszystą sierść. Jest ciekawski i aktywny. Lubi spacery i ładnie chodzi na smyczy, chociaż potrafi delikatnie pociągnąć, jeśli coś go zaciekawi. Ludzi, którzy otoczą go opieką i obsypią miłością.

About Bolo

What life with Bolo looks like

Bolo is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bolo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bolo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bolo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bolo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bolo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bolo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bolo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
