Adopt Bonet

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Bonet was found on the street early in the morning – alone, disoriented, with matted fur, and hungry. A former volunteer was on her way to work when she discovered the young dog, who was nimbly wandering the streets, lost and forlorn. Whether he was abandoned or ran away, no one knows. But Bonet is not one to give up. Upon arriving at the animal shelter, he settled in surprisingly quickly. He gets along wonderfully with all the other dogs, approaches people openly, and from the very first moment, it’s clear what a ray of sunshine he is. Bonet is cheerful, playful, full of energy, and at the same time incredibly cuddly. He’s a dog who celebrates life – with a wagging tail, sparkling eyes, and an enthusiasm that is contagious. As an Epagneul Breton, Bonet brings with him everything that makes this breed special: intelligence, a love of movement, a willingness to work, and a deep bond with his human. He’s a dog who loves to be kept busy, whether on a walk, playing, or simply exploring the world. At just under two years old, Bonet is young enough to learn everything and old enough to have gotten through the toughest puppy stage. He’s considered a beginner dog not because he’s unpretentious, but because his nature is so open, so friendly, and so cooperative that even people without dog experience can be happy with him. So, if you’re looking for an active, loving companion who loves the adventure just as much as the snuggling on the couch, Bonet is just right for you. He just needs a chance! © 2006-2024 by animal welfare association Europa e.V.

© 2006-2024 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

About Bonet

What life with Bonet looks like

Bonet is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonet, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonet?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonet on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonet if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonet already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonet isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonet and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
