Bounty

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

In March 2023, the animal welfare workers from Dolmen Animal received an appeal for help: A female dog, which had already been set out onto the streets by her owners some time before, was apparently causing quite a stir in the neighborhood. Of course, our partners did not hesitate for long and took the expectant mother into their care. The loving female dog was named Bimba, and anyone who sees her quickly understands why: A cheerful mixed-breed lady who looks a bit like a cross between a Dachshund and a potato, presented in all her regal glory! Just six days after her intake at the animal shelter, it was time: Bimba gave birth to eight healthy puppies, causing an absolute cuteness overload among our friends in Andalusia. It was clear that a Pinscher had its paws in the creation of the little rascals. Seven of the eight siblings have already found their homes. Bounty, one of the little boys, is still waiting for his own family. Last year, he was allowed to move into the animal shelter in Sevilla, where he receives more attention, which is very good for the sensitive little fellow. Bounty is a very loving little puppy who loves to shower his people with kisses. Although he is a bit bigger than his brothers, he remains a small dog overall. His cute brown fur and gentle gaze make him simply irresistible. At first, Bounty is still a bit shy, but he gains confidence every day. He has a lot of fun playing with his new friends, Newton, as well as his sisters Laila and Nieves. With them, he romps joyfully and gradually discovers how wonderful an unburdened dog life can be. Now, Bounty is ready to start his new life with full enthusiasm, as a beloved family member. We wish him from the bottom of our hearts people who will give him time, patience, and a lot of love so that he can finally arrive and never again feel like he is coming up short. Who will give this little heart dog his happy ending?

About Bounty

What life with Bounty looks like

Bounty is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bounty, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bounty?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bounty on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bounty if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bounty already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bounty isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bounty and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
