Er lebt seit Juni 2022 in unserem Shelter, nachdem wir ihn aus dem Public Shelter zu uns holen konnten. Boyd ist ein freundlicher, wenn auch unsicherer Hund. Streicheleinheiten erträgt er, wenn man Leckerlis dabei hat, möchte sich dem aber am Liebsten entziehen. Unser Besuch im Februar 2024: Als wir Boyd besuchten, wollte er sich sehr gern seine Leckerlis abholen und war mitunter sehr stürmisch dabei. Anfassen hingegen mochte er sich nicht so gern und wollte sich dem lieber entziehen. Er braucht Menschen, die bereits Erfahrung im Umgang mit unsicheren und ängstlichen Hunden haben. Unser Besuch im August 2022: Als wir Boyd besuchten, blieb er die ganze Zeit in seiner Hütte liegen. Leckerlis nahm er aus der Hand und dabei konnten wir ihn auch am Kopf streicheln. Insgesamt aber machte er einen sehr ruhigen Eindruck auf uns. Wichtige Information: Wenn Boyd in seinem Zuhause angekommen ist, wird er sich sicherlich erstmal von der anstrengenden Fahrt erholen müssen. Seine Liebsten können ihm helfen, sich gut einzuleben, in dem sie geduldig und verständnisvoll mit ihm sind. Boyd kennt das Zusammenleben mit dem Menschen nicht und muss dementsprechend noch einiges lernen. Seine Menschen sollten bereits Erfahrung im Umgang mit unsicheren und ängstlichen Hunden haben. Hat sich Boyd aber erstmal eingelebt und Vertrauen zu seinen Menschen gefasst, wird er sich freuen, wenn er gemeinsam mit seiner Familie die Umgebung erkunden kann. Er wird wohl zum ersten Mal in seinem Leben erfahren, wie sich Geborgenheit und Sicherheit anfühlen und wird die vielen Streicheleinheiten sicher genießen können. Welcher liebe Mensch möchte unserem Boyd nach einem entbehrungsreichen Leben eine Chance auf ein besseres Leben geben?
