Campina & Ikarus

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

Campina and Ikarus are two adorable cats looking for a forever home together. Born in April 2026, they are a social pair who enjoy playing and cuddling. They are both orange, making Campina a rare beauty, and Ikarus a dream kitty. They would love to be adopted together as they get along great and are very people-friendly. They are also compatible with other cats, so if you already have a cat, they would be a great addition. If you don't have a cat, they would be perfect for you! They are looking for a home with a secure balcony, but it's not a requirement. They have already received their first vaccinations against cat flu and distemper, and they will also get a microchip, rabies vaccination, and EU pet passport when they travel to their new home. They are ready to start a new life with you.

About Campina & Ikarus

What life with Campina & Ikarus looks like

Campina & Ikarus is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Seelenkatzen e.V. in Barsinghausen.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Campina & Ikarus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Campina & Ikarus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelenkatzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Campina & Ikarus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Campina & Ikarus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelenkatzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Campina & Ikarus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Campina & Ikarus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelenkatzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Campina & Ikarus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
