How do I contact the shelter about Capitan Findus?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ENPA Monza e Brianza handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Capitan Findus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Capitan Findus if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ENPA Monza e Brianza will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Capitan Findus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Capitan Findus isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ENPA Monza e Brianza early rather than rehoming privately; they know Capitan Findus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Capitan Findus is a beautiful white and red cat with a soft and reassuring appearance and a character that wins you over from the first meeting. He is neutered, vaccinated, and tested FIV/FeLV negative. Character: Capitan Findus is a calm, quiet, and serene cat. He is very good with people and relates to them with a calm and discreet affection, without ever being intrusive. He also has a really nice trait: when he decides to speak his mind, he does so with a deep and distinctive voice! He likes to "chat" with the volunteers and participate in conversations in his own way, adding some funny meows here and there. A balanced, affectionate, and quiet cat, perfect for those looking for a companion to share their daily life with serenity. Ideal Adoption: We are looking for a loving and present family for Capitan Findus, who can appreciate his calm character and his discreet affection. He is a cat that seems to adapt well to family life and could be a great companion even for those who are new to having a cat. He can get along with children, as long as they respect his time and space. We are looking for a home where he can feel part of the family, receiving attention, caresses, and, of course, all the time he needs for his daily "chats". Origin: Found wandering Monza (MB)

About Capitan Findus

What life with Capitan Findus looks like

Capitan Findus is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at ENPA Monza e Brianza in Monza.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.
