Capry

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Native Country: Hungary Capry, so is this heartwarming female dog named. Capry had a lot of luck, as she was found on a busy street in Kecskemét on April 6, 2026, and reported to the shelter. It’s unimaginable what could have happened to her. Whether someone left her there fearfully or whether she wandered to this dangerous place on her own, we don’t know. What we do know is that Capry was not microchipped and no one had reported her as missing. Capry now waits patiently and longingly for her life to turn positive and for her to find loving people who will give her a wonderful “Forever Home.” Capry is simply love at first sight. She is a charming and lovable female dog, friendly, kind, lively, open-minded, grateful, a ray of sunshine that brings much love and joy into the new family. Of course, she can also be a little intimidated by unfamiliar situations, but her curiosity takes over quickly. She enjoys every pat and affection and soaks it up like a sponge. The little one needs a lot of love and closeness and doesn’t want to miss out on it ever again. Capry still needs to sit at the school bench a little and learn what a dog needs to know for its future life as a family member, but she is a smart four-legged friend who will quickly understand how the hare runs. She wants to do everything right and please her people. Walking on the leash is already something she does very well, but it’s still something that can be improved, and finer details can be worked on later. Capry gets along well with her fellow animals and is currently (April 24, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. For our beloved Capry, we are looking for loving and dog-loving people who will give her everything she has probably never had before. Lots of cuddles and cuddle hours, a warm and soft place to sleep, much love, care, security, and safety, daily varied walks, dog-appropriate mental stimulation, and of course a full family connection. Capry will give it back a thousand times and be a wonderful companion. Who will enter a lifelong friendship with Capry? Capry can travel from mid/end of May 2026 if she finds a home or a foster home.

About Capry

What life with Capry looks like

Capry is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Capry, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Capry?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Capry on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Capry if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Capry already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Capry isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Capry and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
