Captain is a handsome, approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd with a striking presence and plenty of personality. Found abandoned on the streets of England, his early history is unknown, but since being taken in by Islay Dog Rescue, he has made great progress and is now ready to find a loving, permanent home. Weighing 34.6 kg, Captain is a large and strong dog who will certainly turn heads. Despite his size, he still shows flashes of playful, puppy-like behaviour. He walks well on the lead most of the time, though he can occasionally pull if something grabs his attention. Since arriving in rescue, he has improved significantly in both his lead walking and overall manners, and continued training will help him reach his full potential. Captain thrives on human companionship and is an affectionate boy who enjoys cuddles and attention. That said, he also has a playful side—give him a ball or a favourite toy, and he’ll happily focus all his energy on playtime. Captain is looking for a stable, secure environment with an owner committed to continuing his training and helping him become the best version of himself. In return, he will offer loyalty, affection, and plenty of fun. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites and neutered.
