Caya – Fremdplatzierung – platziert

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 30 years

Caya must sadly be given up due to family reasons, but she can still remain in her current home until she finds a new one. Caya is very people-oriented, cuddly, and lively. She has a good upbringing, knows her boundaries and taboos. She likes children and is very uncomplicated in handling, but she needs clear commands and a guide who leads and shows her the way. Caya adapts quickly to new situations and finds a routine quickly. She shows typical Cane Corso traits and is a great family dog who wants to give and receive love. She gets along well with fellow animals and many other species. However, she dislikes Huskies because she had an incident with this breed as a puppy. Caya should not be disturbed while eating by other dogs, as she shows food aggression. She also shares her toys with fellow animals very reluctantly. Caya needs dog-experienced people (ideally over 30 years old) who meet her needs and will adopt her as a family member. Caya is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be rehomed for an adoption fee of CHF 650.–.

About Caya – Fremdplatzierung – platziert

What life with Caya – Fremdplatzierung – platziert looks like

Caya – Fremdplatzierung – platziert is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

What happens if Caya – Fremdplatzierung – platziert isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
