Adopt Celine og Sunny

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Two adorable female rabbits are now looking for a safe home together. Celine og Sunny have become very attached to each other, and we therefore wish for them to be adopted as a pair ❤️ Celine (dark brown and white) is estimated to have been born in March 2025. She had a very tough start in life. Celine came from a rabbit colony and had never had close contact with humans before she was rescued. When she was taken in, she was very shy, constantly hiding, and wouldn't come out. The same day she was rescued, she also gave birth – she was only a 6-month-old rabbit herself, and now she had to be a mother💔 Unfortunately, all her babies were stillborn. It became clear early on that Celine needed extra support to find safety and learn that humans can be good. Therefore, she got to know a calm and social rabbit – namely Sunny. It turned out to be the perfect match. Sunny (white and gray) was born in October 2025 in a foster home and had a safe and good start in life. She is actually the daughter of Celine's sister, and one can see some similarities here. Sunny is incredibly social, enjoys attention, and loves being the center of attention. She has helped Celine a lot in becoming more secure and social.

About Celine og Sunny

What life with Celine og Sunny looks like

Celine og Sunny is a young adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo in Oslo.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Celine og Sunny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Celine og Sunny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Celine og Sunny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Celine og Sunny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Celine og Sunny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Celine og Sunny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Celine og Sunny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
