Charlie

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Charlie as a puppy was adopted, but after two years he returned. Today, after work, he is ready for a new, wise start. He is a dog genius – knows many tricks, loves learning and working with people. In the home Charlie is the perfect dog: maintains excellent cleanliness, spends entire nights curled up with the caregiver and does not destroy. On walks he is well-behaved, isn't afraid of street traffic and gets along well with other dogs. Although he can be watchful and sometimes barks at someone through the window, he is the most loyal "wonder" for his people, loving affection. Charlie is looking for a home in a quiet area, without children, by the side of a person who will set clear rules and won't be scared by his uncertainty. He requires continuation of behavioral work. This is a dog with great potential, who will become the best companion with the right guidance. — METRYCZKA — 🧮 Age: 07/2022 🚻 Sex: male 🐾 Size: 23 kg 🏀 Activity: medium ❤️ Neutering: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes 📍 Place of residence:

Charlie jako szczeniak trafił do adopcji, jednak po dwóch latach wrócił. Dziś, po pracy jest gotowy na nowy, mądry start. To psi geniusz – zna mnóstwo sztuczek, uwielbia naukę i współpracę z człowiekiem. About Charlie

What life with Charlie looks like

Charlie is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Charlie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Charlie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Charlie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Charlie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Charlie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Charlie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Charlie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
