adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Chloe has found her fortune! Her story: Beware of Sugar Shock! The adorable Chloe with the silky black fur is still desperately searching for a home 🙂 Currently, she sadly has to spend her childhood at the public shelter in Bistrita. The little mouse craves attention and a real dog life so much. The little Hundefamilie with Chloe, Pilvi, Alani, and Fluffy, and their mother Peppina, were found somewhere in the nowhere of Romania. We assume that Peppina was abandoned because she was pregnant. Alone and without help, she gave birth to her puppies and cared for them during the first months. Now, Peppina with her children Chloe, Pilvi, Alani, and Fluffy are housed in the shelter in Bistrita. There they are safe, but life is hard to bear for the dogs because it is loud, it stinks, and cuddles are sadly only rare due to lack of time. The brother Fluffy unfortunately did not make it and passed away 🙁 The approximately 6-7 month old puppy children should travel urgently so they can make their own experiences and lead a happy dog life. Soon the wild phase of puberty will start, and the care and upbringing of a family would be very important for their development. Chloe is a sweet puppy baby. Her dark fur shines like silk – and the little paws look as if they had hopped through a milk puddle. Still, Chloe is fluffy and small – she will grow to about medium size, with an estimated height of 55cm. In the shelter, she plays and runs with her siblings, explores the small world that is offered to her there, and is happy about the people who bring her food and a little bit of attention and affection. If Chloe can move in with you, you will have to explain some family rules to the little puppy. Whether it's leash walking or house training, car rides, or guests – there is a wide range of tasks that a puppy must learn first. Chloe is still a young puppy and needs understanding and love. Taking a puppy in the family means also taking on responsibility, setting the stage for a whole dog life. Has Chloe won your heart? Then feel free to contact us. Chloe is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She was given the pretty name by Mrs. Gold, who has thus given her an identity. As of: 21.08.

Stand: 21.08.2024

About Chloe

What life with Chloe looks like

Chloe is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chloe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chloe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chloe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chloe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chloe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chloe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chloe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
