Crina (w)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Crina, around 3 years old (2022) and approximately 60 cm tall, has seen hell. One must say it plainly. In early spring 2024, an appeal for help was heard in Romania, in many Facebook groups. The elections were approaching, and the politicians wanted to clear the streets of dogs to gain the support of the population. Everywhere, the dog catchers were on the move. Even in the city of Vaslui. It is well-known how bad the municipal animal shelter in Vaslui is—it is hell. The animal welfare workers on the ground mobilized and drove for hours to rescue them. Some dogs were freed. Within a few days, they were in poor condition, injured, and dehydrated. It was grim, and we all hoped they would be freed. Everyone came together, where there was no room. Not all could be rescued, but Crina made it! She came to Dana’s private animal shelter and could finally begin to recover. It is always incredible to see that these dogs can trust humans again. For Crina, it is exactly that. She is a cheerful nature. She loves every visitor, whether a stranger or a caregiver. It doesn’t matter. As long as she gets attention. Crina goes through life happily. She has no problems with other dogs. When she enters her pen, she doesn’t know what to do with her joy, giving each hand a pat and hopping with happiness. In Crina, there is undoubtedly a herding dog, which she does not show on site but which should not be forgotten. She is not afraid of strangers, remains calm in the midst of the animal shelter chaos, and is a big bundle of friendliness. For someone who dares to take on a HSH, she is the jackpot! A large enclosed yard is a prerequisite here. She would finally like to find her great happiness. Will Crina ever draw the big lottery? We wish her so much luck! She could soon pack her bags and leave Romania forever. Crina will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and depart for the Mediterranean test and EU Pass. She will be rehomed with V. Crina, ca. 3 Jahre alt (2022) und circa 60 cm groß, hat die Hölle gesehen. About Crina (w)

What life with Crina (w) looks like

Crina (w) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Crina (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Crina (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Crina (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Crina (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Crina (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Crina (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Crina (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
