Dog chip

Male

Please note the ‘Contact for Availability’ function is currently not working. Please email the Rescue direct () if you are enquiring about an animal and include the animal’s name ** Chip is a bundle of fun and arrived at the Rescue from the pound after being found as a stray and, sadly, never claimed. We do not know what his past held, but what we do know is that this boy is ready to start his next chapter and find a family to call his own. Chip is an excitable, fun-loving little character with plenty of love and cheekiness all rolled into one! He loves everyone he meets and is always ready to get involved in whatever is going on. Life is one big adventure to Chip, and he intends to enjoy every minute of it! Chip is still a young dog with lots to learn, so he will need a family who can offer him guidance, consistency, exercise and plenty of love. In return, you are sure to have a cheeky little companion who will keep you smiling and bring plenty of fun to everyday life! The adoption fee is £250, which includes: neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worm treatment and full veterinary health check. He will also have our lifetime rescue back-up. We ask that all dogs in the household are neutered, and any resident dog will need to meet Chip before adoption can be agreed. We reserve the right to decline applications where we feel a home is not the right match. Please remember that we receive lots of interest in our dogs, so an application does not guarantee adoption. About Dog chip

What life with Dog chip looks like

Dog chip is a large adult dog waiting at Pennine Pen Animal Rescue CIO in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dog chip, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dog chip?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pennine Pen Animal Rescue CIO handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dog chip on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dog chip if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pennine Pen Animal Rescue CIO will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Dog chip already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dog chip isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pennine Pen Animal Rescue CIO early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dog chip and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
