Adopt Doti

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Doti - rather a homebody Status: for adoption It's not often that we recommend a homebody dog. Usually, fluffy crazy ones love walks and as soon as they feel the ground under their paws, goodbye adventure. But here's a surprise, Doti. Her life at home seems to suit her better. If she goes for a walk, it's just to get things done and back home. This may of course change when the lady is completely settled, but I wouldn't expect a walking enthusiast from her 🙂 So you won't be very impressed by her on walks, but she's beautiful, well, there are plenty of photos and she's an internet star 🙂 And what's the purpose of a home according to Doti? Well, there's a sofa, there are friendly people, even the dog resident turned out to be okay. Not like those outside, sometimes you have to bark to show your dislike (or maybe the message is different, I don't know, I'm not familiar with it 🙂). She is very calm, almost submissive. She loves (that's not an overstatement) petting and in general, a safe, home life. I like that too, so I'm not complaining 🙂 And obviously, it's clear that we don't make a mess at home. And we can even inform people passing by the door that "it's supervised", but only with a small bark. But I envy you that she will be standing on your path… Doti! —- DOG'S PROFILE —- 🧮 Birth year: 12-12-2019 🚻 Sex: female 🐾 Size: 11.5kg 🏀 Activity: medium ❤️ spayed: yes ℹ️ microchip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes ✅ dog is under the care of the Tricity branch of the Foundation for Puppies Judyta ✅ dog is currently in a temporary home in the Tricity area and surroundings ✅ Adoption responsibility: filling out the questionnaire, pre-adoption visit and signing the adoption agreement ✅ LINK TO QUESTIONNAIRE:

Doti - raczej domatorka Status: do adopcji Nie tak często się zdarza, żebyśmy polecali psa domatora. Z reguły szaleńce kudłate uwielbiają spacery i jak tylko poczują grunt pod nogami to ahoj przygodo. A tu niespodzianka, Doti. Jej to raczej życie w domu odpowiada. About Doti

What life with Doti looks like

Doti is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Doti, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Doti?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Doti on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Doti if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Doti already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Doti isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Doti and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
