Feodora (Fia) Surrey Adoption fee – £150 – 10 years old, neutered female – Mini long-haired Dachshund – chocolate dapple Feodora, known as Fia, is a clever, loving girl looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s personal circumstances and work commitments. She loves companionship, cuddles and being included in family life, forming strong bonds with the people she trusts. At home, Fia enjoys a calm environment where she can relax in her bed and spend time with her people. She is affectionate and has been used to living with a young child, although we are looking for a home with sensible children aged 10 or over. Out on walks, Fia can be vocal on the lead and may bark at other dogs or unfamiliar situations. New environments can leave her feeling anxious and overwhelmed, and we can provide behaviourist support if needed. Fia also gets car sick, which prospective adopters should be aware of. Fia has a history of occasional seizures, typically around once a year. These may be triggered by strong household scents, such as cleaning products or air fresheners. The existing information is that she does not require medication because they are so infrequent, and we will discuss how we will support her health with prospective adopters. She is currently fed a raw diet and likes to choose where she sleeps, depending on how warm or cool it is but mostly sleeps in her own bed. Fia is also crate trained. Fia currently lives with another dog and could share her new home with a suitable dog, subject to a successful meet. She does not like cats, so a cat-free home is required.
