FiołEk

Mixed Breed · Male

Polish English German Jamniki are now all the rage, so we’re hoping Fiołek won’t take long to win over our hearts. Short legs, a sausage-like body, and an adorable smile—this is Fiołek! One of our three little flowers. He came to us along with his mom Petunia and brother Brattek. And where did they come from? Well, let’s just say—out of a junkyard. Stench, dirt, and zero interest in four-legged creatures. We laugh about it—such guys from the rougher neighborhoods. But everyone knows that rascals are the ones you love the most! Fiołek is just like that—Fiołek. A gentle soul who knows how to take care of himself. Give him a quiet moment to get to know you, and he’ll soon be climbing onto your lap, demanding affection. Be prepared for lots of kisses! He’s one of those dogs whose love just bursts forth. But he’s cautious around strangers—approaching them boldly, growling, and showing his teeth. It’s not aggressive behavior; it’s simply a lack of socialization—remember, he’s a young dog who’s lived entirely on his own until now... Fiołek is about one year old. He stands maybe up to mid-calf height, has tiny little paws, and a long body. After a successful introduction, he could live with another dog—he’s not dominant (quite the opposite, actually). We don’t know how he’d fare with cats yet. We think kids who know how to interact with dogs wouldn’t be a problem for Fiołek—but the best way to find out is through our introductory walks, which we invite you to join! Vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, he’s waiting at the shelter in Choszczno for loving people! If you’d like to help this dog but can’t adopt him, we invite you to join our walking groups! polski English Deutsch Jamniki teraz w modzie, więc liczymy na to, że Fiołek nie zagrzeje u nas miejsca. Krótkie nóżki, serdelkowate ciałko i uroczy uśmiech-to właśnie Fiołek! Jeden z trzech naszych kwiatuszków. Trafił do nas wraz z mamą Petunią i bratem Bratkiem. A skąd? Hmm, delikatnie mówiąc-z meliny. Smród, brud i zero zainteresowania czworonogami. Śmiejemy się, z tym o takie chłopaki z gorszej dzielnicy. Ale wszyscy wiedzą, że łobuzy kochają najbardziej! Fiołuś, to taki właśnie Fiołuś. About FiołEk

What life with FiołEk looks like

FiołEk is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Choszczno in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting FiołEk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FiołEk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Choszczno handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FiołEk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FiołEk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Choszczno will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is FiołEk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FiołEk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Choszczno early rather than rehoming privately; they know FiołEk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
