The Basics Age: 4 Gender: Female Energy: Low Meet Gisella! Gisella is our little pocket rocket. She is tiny (12kg), happy and healthy, and just turned 4 years old. But she never really settled in her home. She stayed very timid and was increasingly shutting down; after three months she had not even explored all rooms in the house and would only eat very little at night. She is very gentle, follows her fosterers everywhere, adores long walks in the Surrey hills and hiding in bushes in the garden observing birds. She gets on well with all other dogs she meets. She remains very timid when meeting strangers on walks and is scared of loud noises but is fine meeting guests at home. For her we are now looking for a home with at least another calm and gentle dog to show her the ropes and give her confidence. We think that the fact that she was an only dog was the main issue in her previous home. Before travelling to the UK, Gisella was noticed by one of our rescuers in a pound near Naples. She was in an enclosure with her puppy. It was heartbreaking to see her, so we rescued her as soon as we were made aware of her story.
