🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Gris is a young, alert mixed-breed girl born on November 16, 2025, and she is still growing. She currently measures around 40 centimeters and weighs about seven kilograms. Along with her sister Blue, she was abandoned as a small puppy on the property of a woman in Spain. Fortunately, she was allowed to grow up there in a pack with several dogs, which allowed her to gain important social experiences that are evident today. While Blue has already found a home in Germany, Gris is now waiting for her own family at the dog pension Grisette in the Swiss Jura. Gris shows herself to be a friendly, curious, and very compatible female dog who approaches other dogs openly and behaves socially and pleasantly in everyday life. She is approachable towards humans but not pushy, and she learns quickly when provided with security and clear structures. She is suitable for children from about twelve years old, as she is still young and lively. She would feel especially comfortable in a rural home where she can explore the world at her own pace. A confident only dog would be a nice orientation for her, but it is not a requirement. Gris is ready for her own chapter – curious, friendly, and full of joy for life. Whoever gives her a loving home will receive a young female dog who shows more potential with each passing day. GRIS’ diary with more photos, videos, and information is available on our homepage: www.grisette.ch. If you would like to meet GRIS informally and could offer her a suitable home, we would be delighted if you request our informal application form (if you reach the answering machine, please leave a message, we are happy to call back) or by email: info(at)grisette.ch. Completing and returning the form is a prerequisite for scheduling a meet-and-greet appointment. GRIS is vaccinated, microchipped, tested for Mediterranean diseases, and registered. Her adoption fee is 600.

DE·Show original

About 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀

What life with 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀 looks like

🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀 is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know 🐾 GRIS – die neugierige👀 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
