How do I contact the shelter about Gryfek?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gryfek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Gryfek if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Gryfek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Gryfek isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gryfek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Gryfek

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Here's Gryfek, a 7-year-old, medium-sized, tricolor dog. Before coming to us, Gryfcio had a home, a human, and dog brothers. And suddenly it was all over... No wonder the shelter was scary for him at first. But he quickly realized that the staff were okay, and daily walks became something he looked forward to. The fact that he is still a bit wary of new people, but it's enough to show him your good side and give him some time to convince him. Outdoors, Gryfek is active, likes to walk at a moderate pace. Best with a dog buddy by his side. That's why he lives with another dog with a similar temperament. Gryfek is now waiting for someone who will fall in love with him, decide to give him a home, love, and care. And who will help overcome the remaining fears and distrust. Maybe that someone will be you? Gryfek is registered under number 13302/24/26. He has been vaccinated against rabies and infectious diseases and has been microchipped. He has undergone a castration procedure. For those interested in adoption, please contact us by phone at 530-779-523 or 534-185-616.

GRYFEK. Oto Gryfek, trójkolorowy, psi 7-latek średniej wielkości. Zanim do nas trafił, Gryfcio miał dom, człowieka i psich braci. I kto pomoże przezwyciężyć resztki strachi i nieufności. Może tym kimś będziesz Ty? Gryfek zarejestrowany jest pod numerem 13302/24/26. Został zaszczepiony przeciwko wściekliźnie i chorobom zakaźnym oraz zaczipowany. Przeszedł zabieg kastracji. About Gryfek

What life with Gryfek looks like

Gryfek is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.
