Gustav could be saved from the public shelter where they still kill animals today. Now we hope that the gentle Gustav will be lucky enough to find their heart's desire. After arriving, Gustav primarily hid in their hut for a while. But after a certain period of getting used to things – and plenty of treats – Gustav is slowly starting to trust and enjoys being petted or being outdoors. Due to Gustav's gentle personality, they have already made a name for themselves at the shelter. They are described as modest and very lovable on-site. When they look at you with their sad eyes, you wish they could finally arrive and live a happy dog life. Gustav is also well-tempered with other dogs. Gustav is approximately 7 years old and stands at a shoulder height of around 63-65 cm, making them one of the larger breeds. It's likely that the stately male dog has a herding mix, which is why we hope for a home that meets their needs. Experience with these breeds or the willingness to learn about them is a prerequisite. These breeds are not command followers but have their own minds and make their own decisions. Therefore, independent handling is essential. Dogs like Gustav are generally not happy in a city apartment and require a more rural environment with little hustle and bustle. We do not know if Gustav has already lived in a home. Therefore, they will have to learn the rules and dog ABCs. Things like house training, leash walking, and car rides need to be learned, and that requires time and patience. Gustav therefore needs people who are aware of this and are willing to accompany them on their journey to a home of their own. During their excursions in the open area, it was noted that they have a problem with their hindquarters. Gustav konnte aus dem öffentlichen Shelter gerettet werden, in dem aktuell auch heute noch getötet wird. Nun hoffen wir, dass der sanfte Gustav das Glück haben wird, seine Herzensmenschen zu finden. Gustav hat sich nach seiner Ankunft zunächst hauptsächlich in seiner Hütte verkrochen. Aber nach einer gewissen Zeit der Eingewöhnung – und genügend Leckerlis – fängt Gustav nun langsam an Vertrauen zu fassen und genießt es gestreichelt zu werden oder im Außenbereich zu sein. Dank seiner Ausflüge in den Auslauf gewöhnt er sich auch langsam an den Umgang mit der Leine, auch wenn er derzeit noch etwas unsicher damit ist. Im Shelter hat sich Gustav bereits aufgrund seiner sanften Persönlichkeit einen Namen gemacht. Er wird vor Ort als bescheiden und sehr liebenswert beschrieben. Wenn er dir mit seinen traurigen Augen entgegenblickt, dann wünscht man sich, dass er endlich ankommen und ein glückliches Hundeleben leben darf. Mit anderen Hunden ist Gustav ebenfalls bestens verträglich. Gustav ist ca. 7 Jahre alt und hat eine Schulterhöhe von ca. 63-65 cm und gehört damit zu den größeren Hunden. Vermutlich steckt in dem stattlichen Rüden ein Herdenschutz-Mix, weshalb wir uns ein Zuhause wünschen, dass seinen Bedürfnissen gerecht wird. Erfahrung mit diesen Rassen oder die Bereitschaft, sich damit auseinanderzusetzen ist damit eine Voraussetzung. Diese Rassen sind keine Befehlsempfänger, sondern haben ihren eigenen Kopf und treffen eigenen Entscheidungen. Daher ist eine souveräne Führung elementar. Hunde wie Gustav werden in aller Regel nicht in einer Wohnung in der Stadt glücklich und brauchen ein eher ländliches Umfeld mit wenig Trubel. Ob Gustav bereits in einem Haushalt leben durfte, wissen wir nicht. Daher wird er die Regeln und das Hunde ABC erst noch lernen müssen. Dinge wie Stubenreinheit, Leinenführigkeit und Autofahren müssen gelernt sein und das bedarf Zeit und Geduld. Gustav braucht daher Menschen, die sich dessen bewusst sind und Lust haben Gustav auf seinem Weg in ein eigenes Zuhause zu begleiten. Bei seinen Ausflügen in den offenen Bereich wurde festgestellt, dass er Probleme mit der Hüfte hat. Das ist derzeit in Abklärung und für die neuesten Informationen steht dir seine Ansprechpartnerin sehr gerne zur Verfügung.
