Haczi

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Haczi - a small dog with a big heart is looking for a loving home. Haczi is a 7-year-old small dog weighing 11 kg who has gone through very difficult times in his life, which is evident in his behavior. He came to us in a very bad state, but a bath and a haircut showed us what a handsome guy was hiding underneath. The boy is very afraid of people and can show his teeth when he sees them. This is a natural reaction to the traumas he has experienced. That is why we are in the process of socializing him, teaching him to trust people again. Haczi needs to be tamed slowly, with patience and love. However, despite these difficulties, Haczi is an extremely charming dog. A big heart beats in his small body and a huge desire to give love. All you need to do is give him time and show him that he has nothing to fear, that he can trust again and be happy. We are looking for a home for Haczi, where he will be patient, understanding and ready to show him that the world is not so scary. A home where he can feel safe and loved. Can you be that person for him? Haczi is registered under number 13396/118/26. He has been vaccinated against rabies and infectious diseases and has been microchipped. He is waiting for a castration procedure. For those interested in adoption, please contact us by phone at 530-779-523 or 534-185-616.

Hacziego trzeba oswajać powoli, z cierpliwością i miłością. Jednak mimo tych trudności, Haczi to niezwykle uroczy piesek.

About Haczi

What life with Haczi looks like

Haczi is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Haczi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Haczi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Haczi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Haczi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Haczi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Haczi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla zwierząt Włocławek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Haczi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
