Hanna is a German Shepherd and was walking alone on the street. Madalina saw a post on the Socials about her and was very moved by her sad eyes. As a true German Shepherd fan, she picked up Hanna and brought her to her shelter. At first, Hanna was very scared and barked at everything and everyone, started fighting with the other dogs and was difficult to handle on the leash. Madalina hired a behavior coach and Hanna learned she didn't have to be afraid that someone would hurt her. She learned that other dogs are friendly and people are just nice. Now she feels completely comfortable, walks nicely on the leash, plays with the other dogs and enjoys attention, even from young children. Unfortunately, Hanna recently had old hip dysplasia in one of her hind legs diagnosed, which can no longer be operated on. Both elbows are also damaged. Further research is being done on this. A surgeon with an excellent reputation will look at this and hopefully Hanna can enjoy a pain-free life with good medication. This naturally reduces her chances of adoption significantly. Therefore, we are looking for not only a dedicated adopter who accepts her limitations and gives her a good life, but also virtual adopters who contribute to making her life pleasant in Romania. A potential adopter will of course receive all information about her condition. Update May 2025: Hanna was examined by an expert and he determined that surgery is not necessary. Hanna is een Duitse Herder en liep alleen op straat. Madalina zag een berichtje op de Socials over haar en en was erg aangedaan van haar trieste ogen. Als echte Herder fan heeft ze Hanna opgehaald en naar haar shelter gebracht. In het begin was Hanna heel erg angstig en blafte naar alles en iedereen, begon met de andere honden te vechten en was aan de riem onhandelbaar. Madalina schakelde een gedragscoach in en Hanna leerde dat ze niet bang hoefde te zijn dat iemand haar pijn zou doen. Ze leerde dat andere honden vriendelijk zijn en mensen gewoon leuk zijn. Inmiddels voelt ze zich helemaal op haar gemak, loopt netjes aan de riem, speelt met de andere honden en geniet van aandacht, ook van jonge kinderen. Helaas is bij Hanna recent aan een van haar achterpoten oude heupdysplasie vastgesteld, die niet meer geopereerd kan worden. En ook beide ellebogen zijn beschadigd. Hier wordt nog verder onderzoek naar gedaan. Een chirurg met een hele goede reputatie gaat dit bekijken en hopelijk kan Hanna met goede medicatie van een pijnvrij leven genieten. Dit vermindert haar kans op adoptie natuurlijk aanzienlijk. Daarom zoeken we voor Hanna niet alleen een toegewijde adoptant, die haar beperkingen accepteert en haar een fijn leven geeft maar ook virtuele adoptanten, die bijdragen haar leven in Roemenië aangenaam te maken. Een potentiële adoptant krijgt natuurlijk alle informatie over haar aandoening. Update mei 2025: Hanna is door een expert bekeken en hij heeft vastgesteld dat een operatie niet nodig is. Hanna kan met pinstilling een supplementen een pijnvrij leven leiden. Dit is fantastisch nieuws!
