Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 1 month

Hamlet is a 4.5-year-old, beautiful and absolutely charming French Bulldog male in his prime. He is the perfect mix of a sporty companion and a cuddly bear. Hamlet is extremely people-oriented and brings a great character: he gets along great with older children and enjoys the hustle and bustle and the attention in a family very much. A big plus - health & social behavior: • Freely breathing & fit: In January 2024, Hamlet was neutered. In the same procedure, his soft palate was surgically shortened and his tonsils removed. Since then, he has been completely free of complaints, fit and snore-free. He is regularly vaccinated and completely healthy. • Best socialized: Hamlet regularly visits a dog boarding facility. There, he shows his best side and gets along great with all the dogs in the pack. • On a leash & everyday life: During walks on a leash, sometimes sympathy decides who becomes his friend - but he is easy to lead. Without a leash, it works great and he is always available. He can stay alone for 2 to 3 hours. He is not familiar with cats in his own household (outdoors, he shows bulldog-typical hunting interest). Why we are looking for a new home: Unfortunately, our professional conditions have changed so much that we simply can't offer Hamlet the life he deserves anymore. He should not be shortchanged and deserves to be number one again. Giving him up breaks our hearts, but his well-being is our top priority. We wish for Hamlet: A loving home with people with plenty of time. Preferably a family with stable children. Hamlet is only given away with a reputable protection contract and against a deposit. A prior, mutual acquaintance is extremely important to us.

What life with Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause looks like

Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Petsearch.ch in Zurich.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

How do I contact the shelter about Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Petsearch.ch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Petsearch.ch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Petsearch.ch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Herzensbrecher sucht sein für immer zu Hause and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
