Inna

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Inna is a female dog of about 1 year and 3 months old. Along with her sister Indy and two other pups, she was found as a very young pup in a field. There was no mother dog present. Fortunately, the pups were discovered in time and could grow up safely. Inna has now grown into a dog of about 23 kg. The main difference between her and her sister is their character. Unlike Indy, she is a calm dog. She is absolutely not highly active and moves calmly in her environment. Moreover, she gets along well with other dogs and people. She also has a calm presence. Therefore, she is better suited for people who do not want to go on entirely active adventures. Update 2026: During a visit to Romania, the volunteers had the opportunity to meet Inna personally. What immediately stood out was her quiet and modest character. She is a somewhat shy dog that takes time to process new impressions. Moreover, she clearly sought the company of people. She liked to stay nearby and showed that she enjoys contact, even if she does so in a quiet and gentle way. Often, she would lie down for a while. While walking, Inna walked nicely and calmly on the leash. She did not pull, which makes her a pleasant walking companion. Finally, Inna is vaccinated and spayed and is ready for the exciting journey to the Netherlands. She is looking for a warm home where her calm character is appreciated. Who will give her this chance? She is doing well with her foster carer in Romania. That does not mean she will not have to adjust a lot to a new living environment. Her new owner will be patient and will guide her well. Regelmatig ging ze even liggen. About Inna

What life with Inna looks like

Inna is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Stichting Help een Hond in Netherlands.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Inna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Inna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Help een Hond handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Inna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Inna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Help een Hond will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Inna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Inna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Help een Hond early rather than rehoming privately; they know Inna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
