Adopt Ivy et Jack

European Shorthair · Unknown · Young · 1 year

🐾 This adorable duo is looking for their new family 🐾 Ivy et Jack arrived at our shelter after being found wandering together. Despite the announcements made, no owner has come forward for them as of today. 💔 According to the law, an owner has two months to claim a lost animal. Without a claim, Ivy et Jack will be adoptable starting from July 22, 2026. 🏡 🐱 Jack, aged around one year, is a young cat who can be a bit shy when he doesn’t know his environment or the people around him. But once he feels at ease, he reveals a very affectionate, playful, and cuddly personality. 🐱 Ivy, also around one year old, is a curious, social, and lively young cat. She loves playing and sharing moments with the humans around her. ❤️ We wish to place them together, as they are very attached to each other. Ivy’s presence greatly reassures Jack, and their complicity is truly touching. We are looking for a loving family that can provide them with access to the outdoors and a stable home where they can thrive together. 📞 For any additional information or if you are interested, please contact us only by phone at 02. ❗ Please do not contact us via message, email, or social media.

About Ivy et Jack

What life with Ivy et Jack looks like

Ivy et Jack is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at SPA Valais in Uvrier.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ivy et Jack, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ivy et Jack?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA Valais handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ivy et Jack on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ivy et Jack if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA Valais will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ivy et Jack already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ivy et Jack isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA Valais early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ivy et Jack and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
