JARA- die freundliche🤗

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Jara is a young, lively mixed breed, born on October 10, 2025, and at about fifty centimeters tall and thirteen kilograms, she is still growing. Originally, she was rehomed as a puppy to a woman in Spain, but it quickly became apparent that this person could not meet the energy and exercise needs of a young dog like Jara. As a result, Jara was taken in by a Spanish partner animal shelter, where she was lovingly cared for and prepared for her journey to Switzerland. She now lives at Hundepension Grisette in the Swiss Jura and is waiting there for people who can offer her a permanent home. Jara shows herself to be a friendly and amiable female dog who approaches other dogs openly and feels comfortable in a pack. She is curious, active, and sometimes a bit exuberant, which is why children in her new family should be a bit older and steady. She is approachable and eager to learn with people, and she benefits greatly from clear structures and loving guidance. Jara can be rehomed either as a single dog or with a nice, assertive only dog she can look up to. A home in a rural setting is being sought for Jara, as she would be overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of a city. In a quiet, nature-oriented environment, she can channel her energy, explore new things, and gradually grow into a balanced companion. Whoever chooses Jara will get a young female dog with a lot of potential, heart, and joy of life. More photos, videos, and information about JARA'S diary can be found on our homepage: www.grisette.ch. If you would like to meet JARA informally and potentially offer her a suitable home, we would be happy if you request our informal application form (if you leave a message on the answering machine, please leave a message, we will call back) or by email: info(at)grisette.ch. Filling out and returning the form is a prerequisite for scheduling a meet-and-greet appointment. JARA is vaccinated, microchipped, tested for Mediterranean diseases, and has been registered. The adoption fee is 600.

DE·Show original

About JARA- die freundliche🤗

What life with JARA- die freundliche🤗 looks like

JARA- die freundliche🤗 is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting JARA- die freundliche🤗, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about JARA- die freundliche🤗?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw JARA- die freundliche🤗 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt JARA- die freundliche🤗 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is JARA- die freundliche🤗 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if JARA- die freundliche🤗 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know JARA- die freundliche🤗 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
