Adopt Julchen (vermittelt)

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Name Julchen Born around 2021 Gender female dog Breed mixed breed Size small, approx. 25 cm, slightly longer build Foster home Julchen won the hearts of her people in the storm. Already after one week, it was said: "It's as if she's always been here." 😉 We wish everyone a great time together. The age mentioned here is often an estimated value, as we don't always know the exact age. Other information, such as size, is subjective. The small female dog landed in a large Romanian animal shelter. For her own safety, she lives in the Vethouse with other dogs. The animal protectors on site describe the little lady as follows: What a pretty female dog with Spock ears, looking so sweet into the camera. Yes, even a breed doesn't protect you from the shelter. The small, friendly female dog is easy to pick up and handle well. She gets along well with other dogs and is open. She must have had a home before, and it's especially hard for such dogs to land in the shelter. She would surely be happy about nice people and a safe home. We are looking for people who are willing to take on the adventure of an international dog and give her a second chance at a responsible home. If you are interested in this lovely dog, please fill out the Referral Form or call us at the phone number provided. Here are a few pictures. For enlargement, please click on an image.

About Julchen (vermittelt)

What life with Julchen (vermittelt) looks like

Julchen (vermittelt) is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. in Zornheim.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Julchen (vermittelt), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Julchen (vermittelt)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Julchen (vermittelt) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Julchen (vermittelt) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Julchen (vermittelt) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Julchen (vermittelt) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Julchen (vermittelt) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
