I’m a one-year-old female German Shepherd, and I’m ready to find a stable and loving home where I can settle down. Unfortunately, having been neglected at a young age, I ended up in foster care. I’m a real teenager, and I’m looking for people who’ll show me the world with patience and clarity. Actually, I’m still a puppy in a very big body. I haven’t learned much yet, so I love testing boundaries—figuring out what’s allowed and what’s not. I’m super eager to learn and pick up new things really fast; I absolutely love spending time with you! Sometimes, though, I get bored rather quickly, and I let you know by using my “shark teeth.” Right now, I still enjoy chewing on things way too much—even though my trainers say I shouldn’t. But I’m easy to train in this area—as long as you’re very clear about what you expect from me. I love playing, both with other dogs and by myself. Sadly, my hips aren’t quite right yet at this young age, but luckily, I’m not experiencing any discomfort from it right now! In the future, though, it’s certain that I’ll develop hip dysplasia. The good news is that if you give me a chance, you’ll receive a voucher for a hip surgery in the future—if it becomes necessary. So there’ll be no costs for you! What I love most is splashing around in puddles and wading through water. I can’t wait until summer when I’ll finally get to jump into the water and have fun! Other dogs are still a bit tricky for me—I can get pretty feisty when I’m around them. We’re working hard on this in foster care, and it’s going well—but it’s something my new owners will need to consistently keep up and stay committed to. I haven’t been in foster care for very long, but it’s already clear that I need my own place soon. In a busy foster facility, there simply isn’t always enough time for the intensive guidance I need as a teenager. With the right training and a strong bond with my owner, I’ll grow into an amazing companion. Karakter: Vrolijk, enthousiast, onstuimig Zindelijk: In de kennel niet, hoe dit in huis is weten we niet Hoi, ik ben Jynx! Ik ben een Duitse herder dame van net een jaar oud en ik ben klaar om op zoek te gaan naar een stabiel en fijn plekje waar ik mag blijven. Omdat ik op jonge leeftijd verwaarloosd ben, ben ik helaas in de opvang terechtgekomen. Ik ben een echte puber en ik zoek mensen die mij met geduld en duidelijkheid de wereld willen laten zien. Eigenlijk ben ik nog een puppy in een heel groot lijf. Ik heb nog niet zoveel geleerd en zoek dan ook de grenzen op van wat wel of niet mag. Ik ben super leergierig en pak nieuwe dingen razendsnel op; ik vind het heerlijk om samen met je bezig te zijn! Wel raak ik soms wat snel verveeld en dat laat ik dan merken door mijn ‘haaientandjes’ te gebruiken. Op dingen knabbelen vind ik op dit moment nog iets te leuk, ook al mag dat niet van mijn trainers. Hierin ben ik goed te remmen, zolang je maar heel duidelijk bent in wat je van mij verwacht. Spelen doe ik ontzettend graag, zowel samen als alleen. Helaas zijn mijn heupen op deze jonge leeftijd al niet helemaal zoals ze zouden moeten zijn, hier heb ik nu gelukkig geen last van! In de toekomst is het hierdoor wel zeker dat ik artrose ga krijgen. Het mooie is wel dat als je me een kans geeft, je er een voucher bij krijgt om in de toekomst een heup operatie te doen wanneer het wel nodig is. Daar zitten voor jou dus geen kosten aan! Het allerleukst vind ik het om in de plassen te stampen en te spetteren. Ik kan niet wachten tot ik in de zomer lekker het water in mag. Andere honden vind ik nog best lastig. Ik kan dan behoorlijk fel uit de hoek komen. Hier wordt in de opvang hard met mij getraind en dat gaat goed, maar dit is wel iets wat mijn nieuwe eigenaren consequent moeten blijven onderhouden en doorzetten. Ik zit nog niet zo lang in de opvang, maar wat wel duidelijk is, is dat ik snel een eigen plek nodig heb. In een drukke opvang is er simpelweg niet altijd genoeg tijd voor de intensieve begeleiding die ik als puber nodig heb.
