He is house-trained and has basic obedience training. Mango is currently living with a foster family and is looking for a forever home. He gets along well with two cats and another dog, but may be a bit rough and accidentally step on or knock over them. Mango is not a great playmate, but he appreciates companionship. He walks calmly on a leash and is not aggressive towards people or other dogs. Mango is eager to please and can be trained with treats. He loves to cuddle and prefers to lie close to his owner. Mango is not a jumping dog and does not leave slobber on people. He is looking for a home where he can receive lots of love and attention.

Een jonge reu van rond de 50 kilo. Ik ben in de opvang terecht gekomen omdat mijn vorige baas niet goed voor mij was. Ik kwam sterk vermagerd binnen en vond mannen maar spannend. Dat is ook niet zo gek, mijn vorige baasje was ook een man en nogal hardhandig. Inmiddels heb ik hier ervaren dat gelukkig niet alle mannen zo zijn, en vind ik ze in de meeste gevallen zelfs leuk. In de kennel zitten vind ik maar niks, dan ga ik net zo lang roepen tot iemand me eruit komt halen. Daarom mag ik nu bij een gastgezin logeren, heerlijk vind ik dat. Ik woon daar samen met twee katten en een andere hond, daar kan ik goed mee overweg. Ze moeten alleen wel tegen een stootje kunnen, ik ben een beetje lomp en ga nog wel eens op ze staan of stoot ze omver. Met een andere hond van mijn kaliber zou ik prima kunnen samenwonen. Ik ben nog niet zo’n goede speelkameraad, ik heb nooit geleerd hoe dat moet, maar ik kan gezelschap wel waarderen. Tijdens de wandelingen sjok ik rustig mee, ik maak me niet zo druk. Mensen willen nog wel eens schrikken van mijn looks en formaat, maar ik ben echt een grote goedzak en heb tijdens de wandeling helemaal geen tijd voor voorbijgangers. Ook los van de lijn kan ik me prima gedragen, ik begroet mensen, kinderen en andere honden onderweg en ga dan weer mijn eigen gang. Dat ik niet tegen mensen op moet springen en mijn kwijl op ze moet achterlaten is nog een puntje waar we aan moeten werken. Ik ben dol op eten, dus je kunt me nog van alles aanleren in ruil voor wat lekkers. Al is het soms wel even opletten dat ik je vingers er niet per ongeluk bij opeet. Ik lig het liefst lekker languit op de bank, als het aan mij ligt zo dicht mogelijk tegen je aan. Lepeltje lepeltje is favoriet, gevolgd door languit bovenop je of met mijn kop op je schouder. Dat ik inmiddels rond de 50 kilo weeg moet je dan maar voor lief nemen, ik pas namelijk prima op schoot vind ik zelf. Dat geldt ook voor mijn kwijl, zeker als ik net gedronken heb laat ik nog wel eens een spoor achter op je broek of langs de muur. Hier hebben ze me inmiddels geleerd dat ik eerst even mijn mond moet laten afvegen na het drinken, dat scheelt al een hoop. Als jij even weg moet wil ik best op het huis passen, ik zal een plekje op de bank voor je warm houden. Zodra je terugkomt begroet ik je weer met een lading knuffels en kusjes.
