How do I contact the shelter about Kapsel?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kapsel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Kapsel if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Kapsel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Kapsel isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kapsel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Kapsel

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 8 months

Kapsel is one of those dogs with whom we have really come a long way. Once closed in himself, frightened by the leash and every new sound, today he is increasingly confidently putting his paws in the world and showing that he can trust. We know him well - we know that under this vigilance lies a wonderful, sensitive dog who really wants to be close to humans, he just needs someone to not rush into it. We remember the beginnings, the leash was his biggest enemy then, and getting out of the kennel ended in paralysis. Today? Today Kapsel goes for walks, cooperates with caregivers and willingly explores the area. At the last photo session he was a real model, he beautifully performed the "sit" command. In the open air it was visible that curiosity about the world is winning over uncertainty more and more often. Trucks and buses still stress him a bit, but it's not the same fear as before, a calm voice and the presence of a person he trusts is enough. Kapsel is an active, strong dog who has a lot of energy and a desire to live. He needs exercise, walks and a wise guide. We also know that he doesn't like situations where he feels cornered, then he can gently grab his teeth, not out of anger, but out of uncertainty. Just a little space and understanding, and everything will be fine. This is a dog that shows how much good is in him every day. Every step forward, the first glance into the eyes, the first "sit", is a reason for us to be proud. We are looking for someone special for him, someone who wants to get to know him as we got to know him, calmly, patiently, with heart. Kapsel is ready to take the next step. This time towards home. Fill out the adoption form and come to meet our ward, you will see that he is one of those dogs that can't be forgotten. Kapsel to jeden z tych psów, z którymi naprawdę przeszliśmy długą drogę. Kiedyś zamknięty w sobie, przerażony smyczą i każdym nowym dźwiękiem, dziś coraz odważniej stawia łapy w świat i pokazuje, że potrafi zaufać. Potrzebuje ruchu, spacerów i mądrego przewodnika. Wystarczy trochę przestrzeni i zrozumienia, by wszystko było w porządku. About Kapsel

What life with Kapsel looks like

Kapsel is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.
