Beagle, age: 03-10-2022 Can live with other dogs: possibly with a stable female Can live with cats: ? Can live in an apartment: no, a house with a garden Can live with children: yes, 12+ At a location known to us, a police inspection was conducted, resulting in the seizure of multiple dogs and two cats. This was already the third time, but apparently it is still not clear to the people involved that when animals are regularly removed and you receive a ban, this means that you should no longer bring new animals into your home. The animals were again neglected and lived in poor conditions, making the shelter an upgrade for them. All animals have now been assigned to us and we hope, just like with the previous two groups that were taken away, to find a nice home for these sweethearts as well. Kenzo is a real Beagle: nose on the ground and sniffing around! He does his own thing and likes to go get some treats. We notice that he's not the biggest hero when things happen that he doesn't know or when he hears unfamiliar sounds. He then gets scared, runs away and needs a moment to investigate what's going on. That's why we also wonder what he has experienced as a young dog and how his socialization period went. In his new home, attention will still need to be paid to potty training and walking on a leash. We are looking for people who want to offer Kenzo a quiet home with a garden. Children from 12 years old and possibly a stable female can potentially be a match for him. Kan op een appartement: nee, een huis met een tuin Kan met kinderen: ja, 12+ Op een voor ons bekend adres werd een controle uitgevoerd door de dierenpolitie, waarbij wederom meerdere honden en twee katten in beslag werden genomen. Dit was al de derde keer, maar blijkbaar is het voor de betrokken mensen nog steeds niet duidelijk dat, wanneer er regelmatig dieren worden weggehaald en je een verbod krijgt, dit betekent dat je geen nieuwe dieren meer in huis moet en mag halen. De dieren werden opnieuw verwaarloosd en zaten in slechte huisvesting, waardoor het asiel voor hen een upgrade is. Alle dieren zijn inmiddels aan ons toegewezen en we hopen, net als bij de vorige twee groepen die werden weggehaald, ook voor deze lieverds een fijn thuis te vinden. Kenzo is een echte Beagle: neus op de grond en snuffelen maar! Hij doet lekker zijn eigen ding en komt graag wat lekkers halen. We merken dat hij niet de grootste held is wanneer er dingen gebeuren die hij niet kent of wanneer hij onbekende geluiden hoort. Hij schrikt dan, loopt weg en heeft even tijd nodig om te onderzoeken wat er aan de hand is. Daardoor vragen we ons ook af wat hij als jonge hond wel en niet heeft meegemaakt en hoe zijn socialisatieperiode is verlopen. In zijn nieuwe thuis zal er nog aandacht besteed moeten worden aan de zindelijkheid en het wandelen aan de riem. We zoeken voor Kenzo mensen die hem een rustig thuis met een tuin willen bieden. Kinderen vanaf 12 jaar en eventueel een stabiele teef kunnen eventueel een match voor hem zijn. We verwachten dat Kenzo een rustige omgeving meer zal waarderen dan een drukke omgeving.
