Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Kira was purchased as a puppy from a breeder near Berlin and moved to a family with an existing small only dog. Unfortunately, the two dogs did not get along over time, and Kira’s former owners decided to find her a new home. In response to her ad, someone from Basel responded, and Kira moved to Switzerland in February 2019. In early March, she was returned because the new owner could no longer care for her due to a knee injury. When Kira arrived at the foster home in the Hundepension Grisette, she was quite distressed, unsure, and barked at everything and everyone out of fear. Otherwise, Kira is a very lively and people-oriented female dog. She wants to please her person. Kira is looking for dog-experienced people (with the breed German Shepherd) who can guide her with frame and structure, offer her a home befitting her breed, and cater to her needs. With the right people and proper engagement, Kira will certainly develop into a great travel companion. Attending dog training classes and training at Hundelehre ABC would be ideal, and she cannot stay alone yet. Due to her stormy nature, small children in the household are not suitable. Kira is vaccinated, microchipped, and taxed, and in cooperation with the Tierschutzbund Basel Regional, she will be rehomed (with a prior visit to the future home). If you would like to meet Kira and offer her a suitable home, please request the non-binding application form of the Hundepension Grisette at the number 0041 32 462 3219 (if answering machine: please leave a message and phone number, we will call back) or via email at info(at)grisette.ch. More about Kira and all the other dogs at the Hundepension Grisette waiting for a new home can be found here: www.grisette. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

DE·Show original

About Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt

What life with Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt looks like

Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kira – im März 2019 vermittelt and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
