Adopt Kiwi

English Bulldog · Female · Young · 3 years

I am Kiwi – a loving, social, and people-oriented female dog who greatly enjoys the company of her humans. I like to spend time with my trusted people and am happy to please them. Snuggling, shared moments, and simply being there – that means a lot to me. In new or unfamiliar situations, I can sometimes be a bit unsure. But when I have familiar people by my side, I orient myself well to them and discover my surroundings curiously step by step. That’s why I wish for a home with people who have the time, patience, and joy to continue showing me the world and giving me security. I love other dogs very much, so I could also imagine living as a second dog. Cats are something I haven’t encountered yet – here, one should proceed with caution and with calm to see if cohabitation can work. Living with children is also something I haven’t experienced yet. I am an Old English Bulldog and thus belong to the brachycephalic dog breeds. Therefore, my future people should familiarize themselves with the possible health characteristics of this breed. At the moment, I am doing well, and no health issues are currently known. People are sought who are either already familiar with my breed or are willing to get to know their needs. With love, understanding, and shared time, I will certainly be a faithful companion for life. Born: 26.06.2023 Breed: Old English Bulldog Color:.

Geboren : 26.06.2023 Rasse : Old Englisch Bulldogge Farbe : weiss-braun

About Kiwi

What life with Kiwi looks like

Kiwi is a young adult english bulldog dog waiting at Tierheim am Böhler in Unterkulm.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kiwi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kiwi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim am Böhler handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kiwi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kiwi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim am Böhler will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kiwi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kiwi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim am Böhler early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kiwi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
