Ruffy lived for over a year in an animal shelter after a confiscation. In early July 2025, he came to us because he was due to be euthanized there. Since Ruffy didn't have much contact with dogs there, he is now learning how to communicate with fellow animals at our shelter. On the way, he is a quiet companion. All kinds of encounters are uncomplicated. Because he currently shows no hunting motivation when interacting with dogs, his new home should not have dogs, cats, or children. With people in general, Ruffy is friendly and cuddly. In the household, it should be ensured that he does not guard the house door, but this can be prevented with simple methods. In many ways, Ruffy is a great dog. We hope to find a responsible home where he can work on the few areas that still need improvement.

Ruffy lebte nach einer Beschlagnahmung über ein Jahr in einem Tierheim. Anfangs Juli 2025 kam er dann zu Wotans Tierhilfe, da er im Tierheim eingeschläfert werden sollte. Da Ruffy dort nicht viel Kontakt mit Hunden hatte lernte er bei uns wie man mit Artgenossen kommuniziert. Unterwegs ist er ein ruhiger Begleiter. Begegnungen aller Art sind unkompliziert. Direkten Kontakt mit Hunden möchte er aber nicht. In seinem zu Hause sollten keine anderen Haustiere leben. Mit Kindern ab Teenageralter kann er zusammen wohnen. Mit Menschen im Allgemeinen ist Ruffy freundlich und verschmust, nur mit Kleinkindern ist ihm nicht so wohl. In vielen Punkten ist Ruffy ein super Hund. Wir hoffen für ihn ein verantwortungsvolles zu Hause zu finden, wo man an den wenigen Baustellen mit ihm arbeiten will. Er liebt es Übungen zu machen. Das macht ihm meistens sogar mehr Spass als «einfach nur» spazieren zu gehen. 😊Seit Dez. 2025 ist Ruffy nun auf Pflegestelle. Dort zeigt er sich von der besten Seite. Staubsauger und Rasenmäher findet er noch ziemlich blöd. Seine Pflegeeltern üben aber fleissig mit ihm. Er darf regelmässig mit zum Campen. Auch dort zeigt er sich friedlich und unkompliziert.
