Kiwi, born 01/01/2025 Kiwi is a very handsome Holland Lop. He is looking for a new home where he can be bonded with a spayed rabbit for company of his own kind. He is an outgoing boy who likes to follow you around, and he doesn't mind being stroked. He is very inquisitive and has plenty of energy. He was used to being handled a lot in his previous home. He is used to living outside, but he is litter trained. Kiwi is vaccinated, neutered, and has no health concerns.

About Kiwi

What life with Kiwi looks like

Kiwi is a young adult rabbit waiting at Windyway Animal Rescue in Macclesfield.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kiwi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kiwi?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Windyway Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kiwi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kiwi if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Windyway Animal Rescue what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Kiwi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Windyway Animal Rescue directly what is included and what Kiwi still needs.
What happens if Kiwi isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Windyway Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kiwi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
