Adopt KŁĘBUSZEK

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 12 years

Born in 2014, KŁĘBUSZEK was found deep in the forest, tied to a tree with a collar around his neck. The story would have ended sadly if not for a man walking nearby who found him. We don't know the past of this little dog, but the person who did this gave Kłębuszek no chance of any rescue, condemning him to a slow and cruel death. He reacts differently to new people, some he greets with a growl, others with a wagging tail. Despite different greetings, the dog is not aggressive, he just doesn't feel safe in the presence of other people. KŁĘBUSZEK is a real volcano of energy, it's clear he has much of the terrier in him. After leaving the kennel, he runs ahead like a locomotive dog and at the same time barks loudly to make sure everyone around notices that he is going for a walk. To say that Kłębuszek can pull in an interesting direction would be a huge understatement of his abilities - if Kłebek wants to, he can really brace himself. He loves to sniff and often forgets about the person on the other end of the leash. The further away from the animal shelter, the more the dog calms down and walks nicely on the leash. He is the ideal companion for running, he doesn't turn around or stop suddenly, but runs beautifully ahead keeping the pace. This is a very intelligent dog, he quickly learns new commands, he has already mastered "sit", "lie down", "paw", "leave it" and "come". Mental effort, along with long walks, is a great way to tire out Kłębuszek. He is very easy to please with treats, he likes those that he can chew for a long time, it's clear that chewing relaxes him. Initially, KŁĘBUSZEK barked at all the dogs he met and it seemed that he didn't tolerate other animals, however, socialization walks with another dog showed his true face - they bring him a lot of pleasure, he is then calmer and more relaxed. In direct contact, he is even shy, he doesn't impose himself.

About KŁĘBUSZEK

What life with KŁĘBUSZEK looks like

KŁĘBUSZEK is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze in Zielona Góra.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Frequently asked

Adopting KŁĘBUSZEK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KŁĘBUSZEK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KŁĘBUSZEK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KŁĘBUSZEK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KŁĘBUSZEK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KŁĘBUSZEK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Zielonej Górze early rather than rehoming privately; they know KŁĘBUSZEK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
