Knox

English Bulldog · Male · Puppy · 7 months

Meet Knox, our beautiful Doberman crossed with an American Bully! Knox is a energetic and bouncy boy who has a real zest for life! He loves his people but can forget his manners at times, jumping up to greet them. He is very responsive to training and is looking for owners who will continue this in the home so he will grow up to be a well-mannered dog. He can be strong on lead and pull at times so new owners to be confident in handling him. Knox loves other dogs and especially loves to play. Therefore, he could live with another dog that is confident and tolerant and who would be a good role model for him! We don't know if Knox has had much exposure to cats, but we have not seen any chase behaviour onsite, so he could possibly live with a dog savvy cat with careful introduction. Knox is best suited to a home with quieter walking routes around with access to his own private garden. He can live with teens 13+ who can play a role in his training and won't be put off by his bouncy and exuberant nature! Knox is a delightful young lad, who is eager to learn. We have no doubt with the right training and guidance he will be the most loving of companions in the home! If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Knox, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest.

About Knox

What life with Knox looks like

Knox is a medium-sized puppy/kitten english bulldog dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Knox, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Knox?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Knox on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Knox if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Knox already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Knox isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Knox and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
